Xafarix

In 1986, Xafarix opened its doors in what was once a humble butcher's shop, transforming the space into a vibrant cultural hub that would help define Lisbon's music scene for decades to come. Named after the historic 18th-century Chafariz da Esperanca fountain nearby, our venue quickly became known as 'Luis Represas bar' after the legendary musician who made it his home.

From the very beginning, Xafarix brought new energy to the city's nightlife, fostering and disseminating original Portuguese artistic expression. Our intimate space has hosted countless musicians over the years, helping to advance their careers and contributing to the rich tapestry of Portuguese music culture.

Today, the walls of Xafarix proudly display Gold, Platinum, and Double Platinum discs from Trovante, Represas' iconic band, serving as a testament to the incredible musical journey that has unfolded within our doors. We continue to be a gathering place for locals and visitors alike, drawn by our unique atmosphere, live music, and the authentic spirit of Lisbon.
